NIQUA Produktions GmbH traces its origins back to 1897, when Johann Peter Nick in Germany began producing high-quality precision jeweller’s saw blades for export. From this artisanal tradition, the company has developed over generations into a brand renowned worldwide for quality, precision, and innovation.

A major milestone was the acquisition of the production site in Schweppenhausen in 1991. Formerly Pulger, Bonfigt & Co. GmbH, this facility was founded in 1871 and is regarded as the world’s oldest manufacturer of jeweller’s and fret saw blades. By combining this oldest production site with NIQUA’s own origins in 1897, NIQUA today stands as the oldest and most experienced fret saw blade manufacturer in the world – and the only company to have passed down and continuously refined this unique expertise as a family business through generations.

The core business of NIQUA Produktions GmbH is the manufacture of precision tools and accessories for jewellery making – Made in Germany and valued in over 140 countries worldwide. Using state-of-the-art production processes, all tools are designed, manufactured, tested, and optimised entirely in-house.
